This includes figures omitted from the ArXiv version, several corrections, and some new terminology.
A future version of this paper will describe possible additional features of the wave-based particle model introduced. One is that separate wavefronts are joined as a type of spiral in 4 dimensions, resembling optical vortices. (See Michael Berry here, here and here on optical vortices.) Also, the core regions of those patterns may be nonlinear, and spiral around one another. (The hope is to account for both particle spin and asymptotic freedom.)
